De Perigord(oude provincienaam van Dordogne/Lot-et-Garonne)is een begrip voor licht,kleurenpracht en ZuidFranse sfeer, adembenemende natuurschoon met ongelooflijk afwisselende landschappen.Twee grote rivierdalen:noordelijk(Dordogne vallei)en zuidelijk(vallei van de Lot)vanaf ons huis.Tussen deze valleien lieflijk lichtglooiend heuvellandschap, ruige hoogvlaktes met 300.000 jaar geschiedenis:prehistorische grotten, wandschilderingen,dolmen(Keltische grafmonumenten),Romeinse kunst,kastelen,pittoreske middeleeuwse stadjes(nabij:Monpazier,Villefranche-du-Perigord,Belves,Villereal,Monflanquin,Biron etc.)Ruimte,natuurschoon,duizenden weggetjes,zonnig klimaat,talrijke mogelijkheden voor kano/kayak-/fietstochten,wijngaarden(Cahors/Bergerac),indrukwekkende krijtrotswanden;kortom la douce france en vacance!
