Nestling in a tiny hamlet, and enjoying peace and seclusion, yet it is only 1 mile from the village of St Severin, which contains all the necessary shops. There is a baker, 3 butchers (!), a chemist and a small supermarket as well as two bars and a restaurant.
The house is ideally situated to explore the many places of interest in this fascinating region of France. Aubeterre, officially designated 'un des plus belles villages de France' is about 5km away and well worth a visit. The river towns of Brantome and Bordeilles and the renowned Chateau Montbazillac are all within easy reach. The beautiful valleys of Domme sarlat and Beynac are also worth a visit
