Accomodation
The gite is a luxury 3 bedroom detached stone cottage in the Vouvant (Vendee 85), S.W France. It has a seperate fitted kitchen, large lounge with a wood burner, original beams and a high ceiling. tiled floor, and is tastefully decorated.
There is also, a 5 double bedroom house providing chambre d'hote with lots of stone and original beams, 3 bedrooms with ensuites, 2 share one other bathroom, two large living rooms and fully fitted kitchen. English tv, 10mx6m swimming pool, large trampoline, BBQ, swings etc
Location
We are situated just between (but not isolated from) the peaceful villages of Vouvant and Mervent. Vouvant, a "Petite cité de caractère", voted one of the most beautiful villages in France, with its fortifications (remparts), beautiful views over looking the Vendee river, a ruined tower (La tour Mélusine), a Roman bridge and a magnificent small cathedral and world famous sculpture " The Last Supper".
