The village of les Vineaux is very central.
In the winter time a lot of ski resort are situated very close: Puy St Vincent at 4 km, Pelvoux at 6 km, Serre Chevalier-Briançcon at 15, Montgenèvre at 30.
The cross country slopes are accessible by foot at less than a kilometer.
The famous ice climbing places of the Fournel and Fressinière are respectively at 5 and 10 km.
In the sping time this place presents a lot of activities such as ski mountaineering, rock climbing, via feratta, mountain biking, canyoning, hiking...
In summer time: at the foot of the famous via feratta of les vigneaux and of the well known Tête d'aval rock climbing cliff. Only a few kilometers from the Mount Pelvoux, of les Ecrins of les Ailefroides.
the village of ailefroide up in the valley is now well know troughout the world as one of the best place for bouldering.
You can easily practise all kind of white water sports with the slalom run of l'argentière 5 km away.
