Description

The house is in an estate of 2 hectares of vines and parkland in the hamlet of Rançannes. Part of the estate has been set to lawns and planted with a wide variety of trees. A large swimming pool (15m x 7m) has just been constructed.
Les Deux Châtaigniers is newly built to a very high standard as a traditional Charentaise house in the bastide style. We have divided it into two spacious self-contained gîtes – Le Châtaignier Ouest and Le Châtaignier Est. The gîtes in each wing contain four good-sized double bedrooms, two twins and two doubles, all bedrooms with their own en-suite bathrooms.
The open plan ground floor of each gîte has a fully fitted American kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, electric cooker and large fridge/freezer. The kitchen opens on to a large living room furnished with comfortable seating around a stone fireplace with a separate dining area seating ten people. There is a laundry room fitted with washing machine and tumble dryer in each gîte.
