Description
Het karakteristieke herenhuis met een schitterend uitzicht over de wijngaarden van de Corbières is gesitueerd aan de rand van het pittoreske Middeleeuwse dorpje Cucugnan, dat 35 km ten westen van de bruisende oude universiteitsstad Perpignan ligt. Het dorpje ligt aan de voet van de Katharenburchten (bezoeken!) “Château Queribus” en “Peyreperrtuse” en is trapsgewijs gebouwd in de vorm van een amphitheater met romantische smalle straatjes en poorten. Prominent aanwezig bovenaan het dorp is de oude windmolen, die in 2003 volledig is gerestaureerd.
Cucugnan heeft een tweetal caves met verrukkelijke wijnen , verschillende goede restaurants en diverse terrassen en behoort sinds 1969 tot de beschermde dorpen. De omgeving is adembenemend door ruimtelijke vergezichten met bossen, rivieren en watervalletjes en straalt rust en ruimte uit. Maar voor de afwisseling zit u ook binnen 3 kwartier aan de kilometerslange zandstranden van de Middellandse zee.
